Educational Qualification:
For Ship Draftsman Trainee (Mechanical)/(Electrical):
- Pass in SSLC and three year Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical discipline issued by a State Board of Technical Education with 60% marks, with a flair for Draftsmanship and proficiency in CAD.
Period of training: The period of training shall be for two years. The period of training may be extended for a further period up to one year based on achievement of skill/ proficiency in draftsmanship.
Upper Age Limit(as on 20.12.2019): 25 Years
Upper age limit is relaxable by:
- For OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- For SC/ST: 5 years
- For PwBD: 10 years
- Domicile of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989
Discipline Wise Vacancies: (Total – 29 Posts)
- Ship Draftsman Trainee (Mechanical): 11 posts (2 UR, 6 SC, 2 ST, 1 EWS)
- Ship Draftsman Trainee (Electrical): 18 posts (6 UR, 5 OBC, 2 SC, 2 ST, 3 EWS)
Stipend Details:
- First year of training: Rs.12,600/-
- Second year of training: Rs.13,800/-
- For extra hours of training limited to Rs.4450/-
Ship Draftsman Trainee Selection Process:
The selection process comprises of two phases Phase I, consisting of an Objective type Online test and Phase II, consisting of a Practical Test.Phase I: (Objective type Online test)The question paper for Objective type Online test consists of two parts- General (Part A) and Discipline related (Part B).
